A very nice vintage Western made W 49 bowie knife and original leather sheath. It was made in 1979 by the C stamped on the blade. USED. Western knives was located in Longmont Colorado. They went out of business in the 80's.

This is Western's popular W49 Bowie knife. This knife is much better quality than the Western's of today. The name was purchased several years ago.

Many of these were carried by our troops in Viet Nam.

The blade is still bright but there is pitting on both sides, brass "S" guard. Rosewood handles held on with 3 large brass pins. Full tang

WESTERN U.S.A. AND C are stamped on one tang.

14.75" OAL, 9.25" Blade, 3/16" tjocl

Original western leather sheath included. WESTERN is stamped on the front. The sheath is in excellent condition.
