VINTAGE WESTERN BIRD TROUT RED HANDLE FIXED BLADE KNIFE (SOLD)

A very nice vintage Western made bird and trout knife and original leather sheath. Used.

Western knives was located in Boulder then Longmont Colorado. They went out of business in the 80's. This knife was made in Boulder, Colorado.

Red plastic handle. Black, white and red spacers.

Brass guard, aluminum butt cap.

The blade appears full. Some scratches. P48A stamped on one tang. WESTERN BOULDER COLO and patent number stamped on other tang.

8.0" OAL, 4.25" Blade, 1/8" thick

Original brown Western acorn design leather sheath included. The front and keeper are in excellent condition. Original stitching and rivets are good. There are cuts along the top on the back side of the sheath. They don't go through the leather.

This knife probably isn't a collector condition knife but it still has a lot of use. If you like small knives, this one would be hard to beat. Plus I believe the red handle model was not made in the quantity that the other handle models
