It is in excellent condition. Nice patina on the blade. No rust The knife was made from a Remmington 1917 bayonett. 1917 and Remmington logo nice deep stamp on one tang. Flaming bomb and US are stamped on the other side. What makes this knife a real piece of WW2 history is that on one side of the black handle is written in block letters: C Rose. On the other side is: Oct 23, 1942 GUADALCANAL 1ST Marine Div 11.25" OAL 6.5" Blade, 7/8" wide, It is housed in a cloth wrapped sheath with hangers. It's kinda hard to read but looks like LONG 2-18 is marked in black on the back side. This is a great collectible military knife Customers Also Purchased
