I believe they were around in the 80's. They made knives and also made damascus bar stock. This is a great knife. It has the KA-Bar look alike. Mint condition, never used. Beautiful damascus blade with fuller. Stamped CHARLTON LTD on one side. 11 3/4" oal 6 3/4" blade Beautiful Custom leather sheath. Rose wood handle, nickel silver full guard and butt cap.
