I had knifemaker Jim Ort take this old stained Cattaraugus folding machete and turn it into a very nice high polish, smooth working modern looking folding machete. He put a high polish on the blade and bolsters. Made the original handles look like new. They now look like some sort of modern micarta. He disassembled the knife and polished all of the moving parts. The machete was primarily used by the Army Air Force but also found it's way into the jungle fighting in the Pacific. This machete was manufactured in New York state. The original blade guard is included. Cattaraugus U.S.A. is stamped on the blade. Jim also made a beautiful custom leather sheath which allows for an easy belt carry. 10.0 Blade; 15.5 OAL There is a liner lock that locks the blade in the open position Customers Also Purchased |
