 | VINTAGE #5 MARBLE'S SAFETY HATCHETAdditional Item Images This is one fine Marble's specimen. This hatchet is in great condition. The handle & blade are in great condition. The guard has pitting but very functional and all words are readable.The head has a nice patina. The Marble's stamp is very strong. Marbles Gladstone, Mich. U.S.A. #5. A unique blade guard that folds into a recess in the handle while being used. Most likely a hickory handle. I'm not sure of the date but probably 1940's or 1950's.
